Be careful out there in the heat and remember not to let young ones walk outside without shoes on. Also be careful with your fur babies in this heat! Feet and paws can burn on outdoor surfaces and concrete. Also drink lots of fluids and stay indoors during peak sun times. Never leave people or animals in a hot car!

Friday, June 26

9:30 am – 11:30 am – MOM’s Club Membership Drive – If you are a mom in the Cumming area, we would like to meet you! Please join us to learn more about our organization and to meet some club members. The MOMS Club® is an international support group for mothers who stay home with their children, including those who work part time, but are home with their children during the day. This chapter of the MOMS Club® serves moms who live in Cumming with addresses in the zip codes of 30040 or 30028 that are south of Hwy 369/Matt Hwy. The MOMS Club® offers a variety of fun activities for mothers and their children. It also offers a great opportunity to meet other moms in the Cumming area. 10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Passport to Imagination at Michaels. Make a fun fishing game. $5.00 per child. Join us in our store classrooms on an imaginary seven-week road trip from the beach to the county fair and beyond, with fun kids’ crafts at each stop. Get a stamp for each stop on your passport card and choose a special prize after 5 stamps! Plus, You’ll have time at the end of session to doodle, play and create with the products from that week’s sponsor. Register online or in store. Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday through August 1, 2015.

10:00 am – 11:00 am – Busy Builders at Hampton Park Library. Let’s build something together! Did you know that playing with LEGO and other building blocks can help develop your child’s cognitive learning and social skills? Every Friday morning we will set out a collection of kid-friendly building blocks for an engaging and educational drop-in playtime. You bring your creativity, we’ll provide the rest! All ages are welcome to attend this family program. Registration is not required, drop-in anytime!

11:15 am – 12:45 pm – Family Movie at Post Road Library. Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Join us each Friday during the summer for an air conditioned movie picnic! Bring your lunch or snacks and pillow and blanket to get comfortable. Check out our summer selection of great family movies on the website!

Saturday, June 20

7:00 am – 1:00 pm – Cumming Farmer’s Market at the Cumming Fairgrounds parking lot. Open for the season on Saturdays and Wednesdays!

10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Michaels KIDS CLUB. Make pie tic tac toe game. Ages 3 and up are welcome to this event. See a store associate for details today. $2.00. Let your kids explore their creativity while you shop! Only $2 per child reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10:00am – 11:30am. See a store associate to join the fun!

11:00 am – 12:00 pm – Story time at Barnes & Noble at The Collection Forsyth. Orion is scared of a lot of things, but most of all he’s scared of the dark. So one night the Dark decides to take Orion on an adventure. The Dark leads Orion on a night of friendly mischief (bed bouncing!) and a trip into the very heavens where Dark reign.

11:15 AM – Post Road Library – Saturday Family Storytime at Post.

1:00 pm – 5:00 pm – Free Family Fun Carnival at Atlanta Diamond Design at The Collection Forsyth. Bring the whole family for face-painting, balloon animals, games, prizes, treats, and crafts – all free! You’ll also have a chance to try your luck at the Diamond Island Game. $5 buys you a cup of sand that is guaranteed to have a gemstone inside worth more than $5, even some sapphires, rubies, and emeralds. But one lucky cup will have a $1,000 diamond inside. Come try your luck!
